There is no port to accomodate large ships to get to Phuket / Patong Beach . So the ship is anchored nearby and tenders used to get to shore. Now, I know why people talk about Phuket a lot.. Nice beach, nice people..great restaurants and lots of things to do. This video is a compilation of photos from the tours I went to. The photos at the start.. taken just after 6 am in the morning so the locals are still sleeping as they party till whenever.. Phuket is also well known for its massages.. will leave that for you to discover for yourself :P

The hotel has one of the finest beaches on the island and is perfectly located five minutes from Patong for shopping, dining and nightlife, yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle to be a tranquil oasis. Phuket was looking good. Le Meridien was looking great...especially the hotel's beach. Le Meridien Phuket is an ideal venue for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions & Exhibitions) with good meeting space, dining options and comfortable guest rooms. Plus, the event staff are experienced and adopt a "Can Do" approach. Definitely a resort that Morice plans to revisit.

This movie shows Karon Beach on Phuket Island. When you come down the hill from Kata Beach, you will see a long road. Many huge hotels are located here. Karon-Beach is a five-minute walk away from your hotel and has a spectacular view. Karon-Beach is long and has very white sand so that children will be happy to play at this beach. At the end of the beach you will find many shops, bars and restaurants. Drink your beer until late in the night. Have fun with the many bar girls working here.

Kata Beach Phuket PU Island Swim DetailsAug 10, 2011
www.phuketdining.com http The PU Island swim is my favorite distance swim in Phuket; I have several locations throughout the Island but this distance swim I like best. I like to swim PU Island about 2 times per week, most of the time I do it early in the morning, usually before 1000 AM and during high tide. The swim itself is very easy but I always do it with surface swim fins, neoprene top and swim goggles. I start this swim on the northern end of Kata beach and swim around the Island in a counterclockwise direction staying up 10 meters off the island as I make my way around it. The swim takes me about 45-50 minutes using my surface fins. After spending years as a US Navy SEAL I have experienced all sort of beach and water conditions all over the world and have used some type of fins in all my water borne operations, so my recommendation is if you are going to do any distance swims in Phuket get yourself some fins, they can be a life saver in current conditions.
